Your Experience: What to Expect

1: The Consult

My first priority is getting you much needed information so you can fully understand everything that a boudoir session is, and what it isn't.

This is your time to tell me what you are looking for, and it’s my time to listen to you. We’ll go over the details of the process and address any questions or concerns you might have. This gives you the chance to make sure you get exactly what you want, and for me to customize your session just for you.

I’ll cover what to expect, full pricing, payment plan info and other logistics on this call. At the end of this call, you’ll get a chance to schedule your session date and get on our calendar. However, remember to give yourself enough time (at least 6 weeks).

2: The Session

Once you have booked your session, I’ll send you lots of information to help you prepare for the shoot.

The session itself includes:

  1. Professional hair and makeup.

  2. A 1.5 hour shoot in a location we choose together or at your home.

  3. 3-4 outfit changes and looks. You can bring as many outfits as you want. I will help you pick the ones that work the best for you. This is your time, and our goal is to make the session the perfect session for you.

3: The Reveal

Your Reveal and ordering session takes place 1-2 weeks after the session, in person. Once the best photos have been selected and edited, you’ll get to see them for the first time. Clients love this!

As part of this step, you get to touch and feel samples of physical products (coming soon!) to help you decide how you want to best enjoy your images. At the end, you select the ones you want to buy and order your products.

4: The Products

After about 4-6 weeks following your Reveal session (or your final payment if you’re on a payment plan), you’ll receive your products.

You’ve seen your photos on screen, but for my clients, seeing their photos in print for the first time, being able to touch and hold them, is an incredible experience. Whether you choose to order a handcrafted leather or linen album, or large wall prints, your products will bring you joy for decades to come.

Why get physical products?

Bring back memories

Memories are tied to touch. Every time you pull out your album, or look at your art on your wall, you’ll remember the wonderful, fun day you decided to do a shoot focused on yourself.

Self-affirm

Having your photos printed is an act of affirmation, that you’re worth investing in, that you’re beautiful, that you and your life are worth celebrating. In today’s world, loving yourself is a radical act.

Appreciate yourself

You deserve to be seen. In full size, not just on a tiny screen. An album or wall art piece lets you appreciate your photos in the size they deserve, and share them with the people close to you.

Forever with you

The photo albums, books and wall art are made by top quality professional printers. They’re designed to last a lifetime. Years from now, you’ll be able to look back and appreciate yourself, just like you can today.

Why not just stick with digital photos?

I get it, everything has gone digital nowadays. We want everything to be instantly accessible on our screens, anywhere. Digital images can be shared easily with our friends, partners and on social media. However, while having your photos only in digital form seems convenient, there are a few issues you have to remember:

Stolen or lost devices

Over 4.5 million phones get lost or stolen every year in the US. Out of them, only a third of people have reliable backups of their photos. Can you guarantee that your photos will be preserved forever?

Changes in technology

Remember floppy drives? CD/DVD drives? Do you have them on your computers anymore? Storage technology and file formats change. Ten years from now, will you be able to access your photos?

Faulty online backups

Online backups cost money and need internet bandwidth. A lot of backup services (e.g. Google Photos) only store images at low resolution for free. Accounts get deleted, passwords get forgotten.

Easy to forget, hard to find

Ultimately, when you have thousands of photos on your phone or hard drive, it’s easy to forget about the truly memorable ones, and after a while, it gets hard to find the photos you want.
